Sangeetha Bhushanam Vellinezhi Subramania Bhagavathar Memorial Trust (Regd) was established on 13/01/2017 as a registered private Trust by the children, family members and prominent disciples of late Shri. Subramania Bhagavathar for his respectful memory and propagating carnatic music. The Trust grants award to musicians in his name and conducts carnatic classical concerts annually at Olappamanna Mana, Vellinezhi. The Trust in association with “Sadhgurukulam”, an institution for imparting carnatic music to interested students established in the year 2010 by Dr. Vellinezhi Subramaniam at Olappamanna Mana, Vellinezhi conducts the “Subramania Bhagavathar Anusmaranam” function in January every year. This annual function is attended by prominent Carnatic Musicians.
“Sadhgurukulam” imparts carnatic music coaching to interested students irrespective of caste, creed & religion. No fee is charged from students who cannot afford to pay but have the flair to learn. “Sadhgurukulam” is a self-sustaining institution adopting the principle of charging reasonable fee from students who can afford to pay and passing on the concession to the economically backward students. Currently, “Sadhgurukulam” has 147 students and growing every year.
