“Sadhgurukulam” is an institution established in 2010 by Dr. Vellinezhi Subramaniam, one of the disciplies of Sangeetha Bhushanam Vellenezhi Subramania Bhagavathar. Objective of “Sadhgurukulam” has been to promote carnatic music in Vellinezhi and surrounding areas. Considering the noble cause, the Olappamanna Mana has provided suitable place for conducting music classes on rent- free basis.

Dr. Subramaniam, who is one of the eminent carnatic musicians in Kerala, an artist in All India Radio, himself conducts classes to interested students. As the objective is to promote Carnatic music, “Sadhgurukulam” functions on the principle of self-sustaining model. Only nominal fee is being charged and concession is extended to students who are economically backward. Admission is granted to all students irrespective of caste, creed & religion. At present, “Sadhgurukulam” has more than 100 students learning carnatic music.
